Farmville White Kitty Now Adoptable

Farmville has just released another new animal, the White Kitty. This little cutie is the fourth in the series of cats, which up until now have included the Black Cat, Gray Tabby, and Orange Tabby. Granted, all the versions have the different names (Tabby, Cat, and Kitty) but they’re basically the same animal in four different colors. The White Kitty is adoptable and awards 90 gold coins after a period of three days. (I actually found one lurking around on my farm two minutes after I adopted one off of one of my friend’s farm, how exciting.)

It seems like Farmville has been on a roll with releasing all these animals lately. I think it may have even released a White Llama… but that may just be a rumor. And while there’s all these cats and kitties running around in the game, Farmville has not released any dogs or puppies yet. Dog lovers are starting to get anxious. Are there any other animals that you would like to see released? With Farmville getting an extra boost in funding, maybe they’ll spread the love and release some more unique animals.

Farmville Rumor: Hot Rod Turbo Tractor Now Available

Rumor has it that the folks over at Zynga have released a new Hot Rod Turbo Tractor for their browser-based game Farmville and… judging by the looks of the model below, it seems to be smokin’ hot. The Hot Rod Turbo Tractor is rumored to be able to plow nine plots at once, compared to 4 plots for the standard Tractor. That’s awesome — it does more than double the work of a standard Tractor.

But of course with all things there is always a catch. In order to be able to purchase Farmville’s newest tractor, players have to play Mafia Wars and reach at least level 10. *sigh* And while we’re at it, the new Hot Rod Turbo Tractor will cost 50,000 gold coins, 20,000 gold coins more than the standard Tractor. If you don’t play Mafia Wars, the Turbo Tractor can still be purchased with 55 Farmville Cash, which is quite a small fortune wouldn’t you say?

Farmville Receives $180 Million in Funding from Digital Sky Technologies

Digital Sky Technologies (DST) has previously invested $200 million in the now super popular and still growing Facebook social networking site and now they’re dropping another $180 million more on the Facebook browser-based simulation game Farmville. That’s nearly $400 million total, wow.

Zynga was in no way strapped for cash, but now that they have the hefty investment from DST, they can much further expand their reign without having to worry as much about advertising and other related ventures.

Digital Sky Technologies is also buying up shares from current shareholders, essentially allowing them to cash out early. DST is rumored to be doing this in order to obtain the percentage of the company that they originally desired. According to the New York Times, Zynga’s worth lies somewhere in the billions (according to revenue multiples). Double wow.
